Hi all,

Fishing has been good out here, not as many posts being done cuz wth the baby i get time to read evryones posts, but sticking my own together is time consuming...anyway....pieced this together from the last week or so.

Got into Burr Lake 4 times last week between work, baby was out with mum a lot so i had spare hours on my hands i that means FISHING!!!

1st day we did good and almost got our limit of 8 walleye for the table plus a load of pike and perch. Lewis also had his shotgun in the truck cab in case we saw some grouse...but we didn't...lol...until the day after when i went alone (i dont have a gun) and saw at least 5 by the roadside on the short 3km dirt road to the lake....typical!

I actually got into the lake 4 times but also typical...i did not take the camera...and of course i caught to beauty 25" and a 20"......sods law.

Third day video is really 4th day if ya get what i mean......

DAY 1 AT BURR LAKE

DAY 2 AT BURR LAKE

DAY 3 AT BURR LAKE

Those videos were last week but i did manage to get an hour of fishing in before sunset in front of the house on Lake Wabigoon on Wednesday evening, which is where most of my fishing is done these days.....very handy.

After a pretty miserable year where the weather has really messed up the fishing for walleye on "The Goon", it looks like we are actually getting a normal fall bite, and I have been consistently landing 20"+ fish over the last 2 weeks right off the shore at the bottom of our lawn, about time too....lol.

On Wednesday evening the lake gave up a rare treasure...and I landed a 31.5" walleye just as it was getting dark, my PB! I'm buzzing still...with a huge Cheshire cat grin. I was kinda hurrying to get the fish back to the water to fight again another day...which it did :
Vid is kinda long and includes a few smaller fish before the big guy at the very end.

Well done - that is one heck of a mouth on that fish. Kinda whets my appetite for the coming Pike season here.

They are absolutely delicious, walleye is the best eating fish, really light flavour, not fishy at all....which i like.

hey Den,

Little Jack is growing exponentially...lol...he came out in the boat once this year for a 5 minute spin round the bay to my wife's uncle's house...lol...he was not impressed....but yeah....he'll be strapped to the back of the snowmobile next winter Very Happy

And yup, its snowing as i write this, we had 1/2 foot 2 days ago but it did not stay....i was icefishing on November 23rd last year....hoping to beat that date this year...but i wont risk my life to get out there.
