Hi all,

Winter is knocking at the door now...HARD!

We did not get much of an Autumn here this year as it went from 25 degrees to minus temps within one week at the end of September.

Whilst the change to minus temperatures makes for 'mannin it out' fishing trips it has its advantages. as the water cools it acts like a dinner bell for the fishy wishies , and they put on their feed bags in anticipation of long dark cold days for 7 months under a roof of 4 foot thick ice.

Went for a couple of hours from the shore this afternoon, getting cold up here now, snowing plenty too....not long before the ice reports start flowing Very Happy

Anyway, took a lot of video footage and mashed it together....i think thats called editing...lol.....

Simons reports are quite literally legendary. Not often do they start out with a film that looks like something from the dukes of hazzard though!

Thanks Float fanatic and WELCOME TO THE SITE!

I like your screen name...describes my preferred style of fishing back in Devon. Dont know what your favourite float is but give the Drennan Piker floats a try...they are awesome! I think the tackle shop near the Marina in Torquay sells them.

You're not far off the mark there Mart about the Dukes of Hazard...definitely redneck territory up here, not seen any daisy Dukes though Crying or Very sad

Thanks for the reply Ihave drennan series 7 13ft and enough floats to set up shop.
My friends call me a (tackle tart) Also the new Mike Ladel sure spin absolute ace for live sandeel and small lures.
I do a lot of surf beach fishing and have selection of beach casters favorite Zippy Premo Syncro and 7ht Mag but you just cannot beat the feeling of playing a fish on light gear.
