could try a surf board or body board leash, easy to fix and still allow a good range of movement, will fit to either ankle or wrist

Like it, very cheap as I have some already. I'm all for the cheap option.

didnt think about the surfboard leash, as I have one of those kicking around in the car somewhere, might have to extend it though.

Hi Mike

Here is one I prepared earlier. Axor on Anglers Afloat is a genius and posted this a few months ago. If you need to see mine pop over
You can get all the bits from B&Q for under a fiver.

Personally i think if you only go out in conditions that suit the yak you do not need a yak to body leash as you can always grab the paddle which SHOULD be always leased to the yak.I know safty gear is important but i think we all take too much gear with us which we do not use.
Mind you i always take a radio and my mob, mind you the other day i kept grtting my paddle leash caught up on my radio antenna and when got back to shore it was gone!!!!

Have to agree Dave, but anchoring is a different story. Have you got time to grab you yak before you drift away, probably not. Best bet is don't anchor whilst fishing alone.

Great bass session mate. When are you and Skate coming down Oddicombe for a paddle

Hey Donk
I never anchor whilst fishing and if i did i would make sure i would take a very sharp knife to hand.
Will try to get down your way soon as would not mind a paddle out around the ore stone, there has to be some fish around there somewere?????????
